The Calendar Creator can be used in two ways. First, it allows to
create,
edit and print calendars in HTML format. This is usefull, as HTML
calendar is easy to customize and often you can use it as part of
your own Web site.

Second, the Calendar tab is working together with the Events tab (day
planner),
and you can use the calendar to browse events organized by date.

The event editor (both to create a new event and edit existing one)
is simply a form, where you can specify the properties of an event:

The "Category" combo box allows you to assign a category, or a group
to
the event. It is a very usefull feature, for example, you can delete all
events belonging to one category at once.

The event can repeat every year, month, and so on. You do not want to
enter all birthdays over and over again for all coming years, so you
may want to create them once, and to specify "every year".

Title is a short description, that will appear in a calendar.

Description is a longer text, here you may keep some info about the
nature of an event (who is the guy, whose birthday I put here ten years
ago?).

Event date is an exact date of the event.

The first notification date is used by the Calendar creator. If it is
two years ago, and you want to take a look for a calendar for two
years ago, you will still see the birthday, but it will not be there
in the calendar for three years ago.

In a similar way, the last notification date is the date, after which
the
event will not be displayed. Say, you have a two years contract, then
you may want the birthday of your boss to disappear from the list after
the contract is over ;)
